Just a very quick note to all of the new visitors... I have been de-lurking on a lot of sites lately and am glad to see that some of you clicked to stop by and say hello. Please feel free to comment. Your interest is motivating me to write more often... although, you may not think that is a good thing... hmmmm.
It is almost the end of the day here and I am bored out of my skull. Unfortunately, I am also consumed by busy work, so I can't really dedicate myself to the time-honored tradition of posting blog entries on company time.
I would like to say "Welcome Back" to my old friend sleep... after a concerted effort to organizing our evenings and bourbon bottles to encourage good napping, butterbean is officially sleeping through the night -- from 8 PM - 7 AM. It is amazing the kind of thinking that I am capable of when I am not waking up every freaking two hours to stop the incessent crying. The answer to World Peace can only be just around the corner.
I am also a much more pleasent person. For example, this morning when I was flipping off the arsehole who was driving 35 MHP AND weaving in the far left lane of the freeway, I did it with a big smile on my face. And when the troll in my office started flaming people over email, I didn't come out of my skin. I just quietly recycled some of her print outs...
It is also quite possible that this downright chipper mood is also due to me fitting into my pre-butterbean cutie pie pants this morning. Now, let me be clear. They buttoned, which is a victory in and of itself, But DAMN they were "friday night, look at my ass" tight. I know this because I came out and M. proclaimed that the jeans looked "goooooood" (I that very smarmy way that makes you uncomfortable to have a child in the room). I love M., but he has this very weird affection for really slutty clothing. Anyway, 5 more lbs and I will be able to say "hello, old friends."
Speaking of slutty clothing, M. is in Vegas this weekend which will give me lots of QT with the bean and lots of QT with my computer. Much to communicate, like my mom is convinced that I am going to be abducted. yeah. ok.
Again, welcome... check back this weekend for some more stuff.
You forgot to mention that you no longer find it necessary to zip up your pants after having pregnancy jeans for so long.
